Part 1 of 4: Development & Pre-Production
In part 1 of this 4-part series, we'll discuss the initial development stage of your idea and how to take that spark and bring your vision to life. We'll also discuss how to approach and enter pre-production.
Part 2 of 4: Production
In part 2 of this 4-part series, we'll discuss the production stage, where we'll discuss audio and how it's crucial and often overlooked by new filmmakers. We will also focus on utilizing a shot plan and the importance of adapting to unexpected challenges and opportunities.
Part 3 of 4: The Basics of Editing
In part 3 of this 4-part series, we'll go over the introductory stages of editing. We'll discuss the various editing tools available, with a live demonstration on how to import your footage, and the basics of editing with your editing software.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop if they'd like to follow along and practice the steps during the live demonstration, however it is not required.
Part 4 of 4: Post-Production and Distribution
In part 4 of this 4-part series, we'll recap the editing process and the importance of having the right balance of both audio and visuals, including when to use, and when to avoid, the use of visual effects. We'll also discuss distribution options.
