Official Contest Rules

  1. Sponsor

    The Henry's Canon PowerShot V1 Email Subscription Giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Henry's Camera Store (the “Sponsor”), including its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and prize suppliers.

    The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

  2. Contest Period

    The Contest runs continuously beginning July 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and is divided into consecutive three-month periods (each a “Contest Period”).

    Each Contest Period begins on the first calendar day of the first month of the quarter at 8:00 a.m. ET and ends on the last calendar day of the third month of the quarter at 11:59 p.m. ET, as follows:

    • Contest Period 1: July 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. ET – September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET
    • Contest Period 2: October 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. ET – December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET
    • Contest Period 3: January 1, 2027 at 8:00 a.m. ET – March 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET
    • Contest Period 4: April 1, 2027 at 8:00 a.m. ET – June 30, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET

    Entries do not carry over between Contest Periods. All eligible entries are reset at the start of each new Contest Period.

  3. Eligibility

    The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding residents of Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.

    Employees, contractors, agents, or representatives of the Sponsor, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible to enter.

  4. How to Enter

    No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

    To enter, participants must successfully subscribe to the Henry's email mailing list and confirm their subscription during a Contest Period.

    Limit of one (1) entry per person per Contest Period. Multiple entries from the same individual will be void. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors.

  5. Prize

    One (1) Canon PowerShot V1 digital camera will be awarded per Contest Period.

    Approximate retail value: $1,249.99 CAD.

    Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsors. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited and have no cash value. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize (or any portion thereof) cannot be awarded for any reason.

  6. Winner Selection and Notification

    One (1) potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during each Contest Period.

    The draw will occur within seven (7) days following the end of each Contest Period. The selected entrant will be notified by email.

    If the selected entrant does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours of notification, is deemed ineligible, or fails to comply with these Rules, an alternate entrant may be selected.

  7. Odds of Winning

    The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Contest Period.

  8. Winner Requirements

    Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must:

    • Correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question
    • Confirm eligibility
    • Sign a release absolving the Sponsor from liability related to the Contest or prize
    • Consent to the use of their first name and last initial for promotional purposes, unless prohibited by law

     

  9. Publicity

    By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may use their first name, last initial, and province of residence for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

  10. General Conditions

    The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries, or for any technical issues that may affect entry.

    The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time without notice, subject to applicable laws.

  11. Governing Law

    These are the official Contest Rules. The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsors and/or the Contest. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsors in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction's laws.
