Canada's World Photographic Cup Exhibition Opens in Newmarket

Prepare to be captivated as Henry's Camera hosts an exhibition highlighting the extraordinary photographs that showcased Canada's artistic talent at this year's World Photographic Cup (WPC).

One of Team Canada’s 30 image submissions was a wildlife photograph from local photographer, Holly-Lynn Latimour. She travelled to the Indian Himalayas to photograph the elusive Snow Leopard and the stunning result represented Canada. "Being able to compete with an all-star group of photographers and to share my work on a global stage, is a dream come true,” said Latimour. “I am excited for my community to see these amazing photographs."

The World Photographic Cup, comparable to the Olympic Games in its global scale and team format, serves as the ultimate arena for photographers to showcase their talent on an international stage. This year, six of Canada's 30 images earned Top 10 honours with one Sports image winning a Gold Medal. 28 Nations participated and Team Canada was thrilled to place 6th overall.

Join us for a Photo Walk in support of CMHA along the beautiful Dave Kerwin Trail on Sunday, May 25th from 5:30pm–7:30pm. As it is our first photo walk event of 2025 we would like to keep the theme of the walk fairly open to just enjoy being able to meet up in person and capture some great content.

Each participant is also entitled to 1 free 8x10 print coupon that can be redeemed at the store and 10% off accessories purchased the week following the photo walk.
