Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have picked this up when I first got my camera. "Simple and effective IR remote that works great for tripod work. Very small and light yet seems durable. I prefer this to the electronic cable release for everyday shooting because it is just one less thing to worry about. No cord limitations and the IR has a pretty decent range. It uses a small lithium button type battery which I expect will last a very long time. Get this is if you use a tripod a lot and if you want to include yourself in photos. It is so small it won't be noticed in your hand at all. NOTE: If you use autofocus this is a one button system so you can't prefocus. I use manual focus and it trips immediately but if you are using autofocus there can be a slight delay while your camera attains proper focus. I believe all cameras also allow it to trigger the cameras timer delay shot which is even easier when you are in the photo."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have Item "For any tripod work this is a must have item to get maximum sharpness in the shot. If you're using a tripod chances are that the shutter speed is slow. This is the best way to release the shutter because it avoids touching the camera and introducing camera shake. Don't know why Canadian shops have it priced at double the cost to get it from the US though. ??"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't Go Without "Like other reviews the praise for this small and innocent looking but it is without a doubt one of the best (and cheapest) ways to enhance your picture taking ability. The only downside is that if you are shooting with someone else who has a camera that works off this remote, you may run into the unexpected shutter releases."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must-have! "Just like the others said above, this is an excellent little tool. Simply put, it's a must-have! It's easy to use, has impressive range, and is cordless! It even works behind the camera when pointed towards the general infrared sensor area. Just don't forget to set your camera to remote control mode, otherwise it won't work."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT!!!! "I love having this with my camera. I'm not sure how I survived without it now that I do have it. I can take amazing pictures with the touch of the button without having to be behind the camera. Great product."
