Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Design is a Big Blunder "The GoPro Battery BacPac (BBP) for the Hero2 was amazing. It was both a battery charger and a battery extender. But this new one can no longer be used to charge your spare batteries. This does not open up to take your spare batteries to charge them - it is a sealed unit so once this one battery dies, you have to throw out the whole thing. You cannot just put in another battery. Because of this design change, there is no way - using GoPro products - to charge your spare batteries outside of the camera. So you cannot charge your spare batteries while filming, for the first time. The only option without going to cheap knock off products that could void your warranty, is to buy another camera just to charge your batteries. The Hero2 BBP was much better, but since the Hero3 batteries are a different size, you cannot use it for the Hero3 camera batteries. Major Blunder."
