I've had my gorilla pod focus for a couple of years. I haven't used it much for my camera as it does have a hard time holding it up. I have a D90 with vertical grip, plus a lens. It is heavy and the focus does struggle to hold it up sometimes. However, for a second flash or off camera flash, it's amazing. You can lock it into position around just about anything and have no worries. If my camera wasn't quite that heavy, I'd trust it with that too. Just well ten pounds is a bit much. One other tip, do not leave it in the cold and bring it in, as the metal parts will contract. I had one literally fall apart on me, but Joby was kind enough to replace it no questions asked.
