Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I bought the 400 lithium with intent to use it for some small appliances while camping. Recently however, we had a power outage at home during a heat wave that lasted about 11 hours. I pulled the yeti out of the basement and used it to charge phones, run a fan, lights, and even briefly for powering our TV and video game system to keep my son busy. The lightweight made it easy to move around the house as needed. I additionally tried to power the fridge, but that pulled a little too much power, particularly after it had been sitting idle for several hours. The yeti was so useful, I've decided to purchase the 1400 lithium as well to give us more options for power outages and our outdoor events, particularly with being able to use more kitchen appliances. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit I am experiencing a little buyers remorse. Very expensive for what it actually does. I think for the 600 spent it should do a little more. As far as powering a mini fridge like it says, it needs to be a Real mini. I have a 5.5 cubic ft fridge I thought it would power, it does not. But, it will power a 14" fan on high and a air head high output inflator at the same time. And it will power my NOCO battery charger as well. I bought it to do those 3 things on my boat, but still having a hard time with the price tag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An ideal balance between power and portability. As a landscape photographer I needed something that could keep my equipment powered far away from the grid while still being light enough to be carried over long distances if needed. I'd held off on buying the earlier lead-acid Yeti 400 due to the weight, but I had an immediate interest in the lithium model as it is nearly half the weight and offers slightly more amp-hours. My existing Boulder 30 panels hook right up to the Yeti for recharging during the day and the supplied AC charger can be used off my gasoline generator back at camp if needed. The display is bright (when lit!) and provides an easy-to-read measure of what's going on and the controls are simple and simple to operate. The built-in 300W inverter is pure sine wave which gives me confidence that my cameras and drones will not be damaged during charging. Because all inverters bring some inefficiency with them, and since most personal electronics are DC power devices, it's always better to use the 12V "cigarette lighter" for charging when possible. A few more amp-hours can be squeezed out of the battery this way - in my experience the 120V inverter carries about a 5-6amp draw while in use, even if nothing's plugged in. Don't forget to turn off the AC outlets when done charging! All told, this compact little unit brings enough power to fully recharge my drone batteries several times over, my DSLR batteries more than I'd ever need in a day, or keep my 4k video editing laptop going for 5-6 hours. On a sunny day my roughly 150W solar setup (4x Boulder 30 and a Nomad 28) can just about recharge it fully, making it good in a "one day on, one day off" schedule. Additional solar panels would let me use it during the day while it charges as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Van Life My wife and I mounted a 100W panel on the roof of our Westfalia (check out @52weeksago) and ran the extra long chord through the top (with some silicone around the hole so it wouldn't leak) and ran our small fridge as well as lights and computer charges and it worked perfect. We always thought we were going to run out, but never did! It was just perfect for what we needed. Very reliable, and small enough to bring into a library to charge without raising eyebrows if we had spent all day parked under a tree (no sun) ;) Great product, and great service at their storefront too- we had to switch a suitcase panel for a flat one and the lady there was super nice and way way helpful. Highly recommend making the drive just because they're so nice and informative. Also, WAY easier than any other alternative, and more durable than their competition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Preppers ultimate must have I bought this about 7 months ago. I use it daily we charge all our phones, powerbanks. Tablets, lights and all my ryobi tool batteries. Came in real use when our power went out for 4 hours one hot summer night. We used it to power lights and a fan kept is comfortable. Goal Zero makes amazing products I'm a fan for life

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile I bought this unit to provide power at a storage unit location for an e-commerce startup venture. We use it to power a photo tent, charge laptop computers and a variety of other electronic items. So far so good after 1 week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for as long as it lasted.... I have had the unit for about three weeks. It's lightweight and I used it to charge my phone, iPad, laptop computer, as well as a mobile router while on the road. It only took three weeks for the device to malfunction, and now I have had to reach out to Goal Zero for warranty assistance. I'm pretty disappointed that such an expensive device would die in less than a month. Not holding out much hope that a replacement, assuming I get one, will be much better, but I will see. I should also note it took weeks to get the device, and now I'm sure even if I get a replacement, it will take many weeks more, and I purposely got it for a camping trip I'm going on in less than 2 weeks, so I'm going to probably be without the Yeti for the trip.
