30 mm neodymium driver unit exclusive to EXTRA BASS
Up to 30 hours of battery life
Swivel ear cups for easy portability
The MDR-XB650BT headphones combine deep, punchy EXTRA BASS sound with wireless freedom and long-listen comfort.
Neodymium dynamic drivers deliver precise sound:
Lightweight 30mm neodymium dynamic driver units enable the headphones to deliver a punchy, rhythmic response to even the most demanding track. Combined with a highly sensitive diaphragm, you'll be able to turn the headphones up louder and still enjoy clear, precise audio across the spectrum.
NFC One-touch for instant connectivity:
Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth technology remove the need for wired connections and complex setup sequences. Simply touch your NFC-enabled device to the headphones for a quick, seamless connection, then start streaming your music collection. No NFC? No problem. Connect via Bluetooth and you're ready to go.
EXTRA BASS for deep, punchy sound:
As part of the EXTRA BASS product range from Sony, these headphones are ideal for listening to EDM and other bass-heavy music genres. They feature Bass Booster technology that provides an acoustically-tight seal for superior sound isolation, deep bass sound and tight bass response.
Swivel design for easy packing:
The headphones' swivelling earcup design enables easy storage when you're not using them, and enhances portability when you're travelling. The ear cups swivel flat, so you can pack them into a suitcase or a bag without worrying about them taking up too much valuable space.
Cushioned ear pads for total comfort:
Listen in total comfort. These headphones have a self-adjusting headband and soft cushioned ear cups that cover the whole ear. Enjoy the long-lasting comfort you need for listening to your favourite albums back-to-back.
Built-in mic for hands-free calls:
A built-in button and mic on the headband enables you to take hands-free calls from selected smartphones while listening to music. Switch easily between songs and calls with no need to remove your headphones.
Long battery life for non-stop listening:
A charge of around 4 hours will enable you to enjoy approximately 30 hours play time. So you can keep on listening, track after track, mix after mix.

Right side broke both times.I enjoyed the sound quality of this headset. It mostly sat in a nice velvet pouch in a drawer and was in use barely 2-3 times per month for 30 minutes or so. One day the right side of the sound was completely gone. Piece so immaculate and cared for, I couldn't understand why!? Thankfully I had few days left from a factory warranty, and after some trouble, they had replaced the unit to a new one. I was happy until after a few months the sound was gone again and it also started to tear from inside by itself. I'm left confused as the unit is not cheap and I cared for it very much and used it gently, but it just was ripping apart.

Fragile...Poor designThe swivel arms broke almost immediately. Very disappointing and not typical of the quality expected from a brand as well known as Sony. Hoping to replace these with a better constructed pair. Read the reviews...many others have had the same issue. If you are lucky, they MAY last the 90 days [covered by warranty]. Ours did not. Huge waste of money!!! Would NOT recommend if you use them frequently.

Very poor design/material qualityGot them of Amazon as a Christmas gift for my wife. Six months later both side swivels are broken, the ear phones just dangling on the wiring.Bought a protection plan but it is just a standard one (no accident protection)-not covering this kind of issue.
Very disappointing-125 bucks wasted on these headphones

After 4 months it stopped working.Bought the headphone in JAN 2018, it worked fine until MAY 2018 when suddenly it stopped working, it will not charge or turn on anymore, completely dead.
Interestingly enough warranty is limited to 90 days.
And it is a shame because, while it worked, it was a good headphone.

Very poorly put together.I purchased two of these items, about two months apart. They actually work very well and the sound quality is great. No issues with the performance at all.
Sadly, they are very flimsy, especially in the swivel area....both headsets failed (broke) in the same area, after a few months of very careful use. (Two different users). The retailer refused to repair or replace either headset!!
I had to repair both items myself...superglue came to the rescue.
Lesson to be learned...NEVER, EVER, hold the headset by the ear cups when putting on or taking the headset off! The swivel connection WILL break eventually. A close inspection during the repairs I did, showed that the swivel joint is about as strong as a piece of wet spagetti.
