Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best DSLR Camera I Have Ever Owned! The Nikon D7200 is the most recent of my many Nikon camera purchases. I have owned many of their point-and-shoot and DSLR camera offerings (D70s, D90, D7000). The only problem I had with previous Nikon DSLR's was the back focus and the need to micro adjust the auto-focus. It hasn't been a problem with this camera at all! I just throw on any lens and start shooting. The images that this camera produces are crisp, clean and vivid. It also has a very good ISO range for shooting in just about any lighting situation. Though this camera is not a full-frame, it is definitely a "pro-sumer" camera and can capture pro quality images. Most of the DLSR models below this one do not have the top LCD which is a total necessity for anyone not shooting on AUTO. I was considering upgrading to the newer D7500 but they do not offer vertical grip options. This one is a winner and is hands down the best camera I have ever owned!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THE RAIN STILL EXIST...,AND THIS ONE DOES NOT HAVE WATERPROOF I LIKE IT, BUT DISAPPOINT BECAUSE IS NOT WATERPROOF, THEY TOOK SOMETHING SO IMPORTANT? IF THE D7000 HAS IT AND IS OLDER, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, BECAUSE THE RAIN STILL EXISTS, .BUT THE CAMERA IS IN IT, IT IS VERY GOOD

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing... Although I’m not a newcomer to photography and consider myself as semi-professional I’m still “learning” and exploring all available settings and options however the photos I haven taken so far have an amazing quality. The one issue I don’t like is that Nikon app does not support IOS and hope that at one time it will be added. I’m general I’m extremely happy with this camera and would recommend it to any “enthusiast” photographer but not for a “beginner” to DSLR photography.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just what I wanted . I have owned a D60 for 8 years but wanted a camera I had more control with and had a longing to get back to using manual controls . My main photo subjects are nature and wildl life so I own a 24-70 , 70-300 and a sigma 150-500 lense and the D7200 was a no brainer . I ordered the new body along with a better tri-pod and treated myself to a tamron 70-200 2.8 lense . I love being able to use my I-phone for a shutter release and having full control of shutter speed , 1so and aperature . I am a bit rusty but the camera is very forgiving and the added plus of video is a pretty nice option as well . I am retiring in a few months and will have alot more time to get out and about in nature . My nikon 7200 will bw with me every step .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fine fine camera I have been a Nikon user since the 1980s. The ruggedness and reliability is what won me over. The D7200 does not disappoint in that area. I have added the battery grip to my D7200 as that is the form factor I have grown accustomed to over the years with my Nikons. Even if there were no battery in the grip I would leave it on the camera as it adds to the handling of the camera that much in my opinion. I won't go into details and drag this out. Simply stated it is a fine camera, works well under a variety of conditions and with a wide range of lenses from the most current to my 1980's 500m f/8 Nikkor mirror lens. My particular camera gives its best imagery when a slight underexposure compensation is dialed in. Being able to set up a custom menu with my most often accessed functions is great and saves from having to scroll through the full menu. Irritants: The rubber eyecup slips off way too easy. Buy extras, glue it on or simply go without and save the eyecup for when you sell your beloved D7200. Having to get too many fingers involved in making changes with the Mode Dial, Mode Dial Lock Release and Release Mode Dial is a bother but not a deal breaker. The buffer is more than adequate when shooting JPGs but could've done with more buffer for shooting RAW. But again not a deal breaker. I can't speak to its video capabilities. I don't use it for video. A fine camera and for the money it is a camera you can feel confident using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, but won't work with Nikon raw software I love the camera but was surprised that I can no longer process raw NEF files using Nikon software. Talk about high and dry, wonder if Sony or Canon does this kind if stuff. No plugin or update available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value Nikon makes! Where to start? This camera does all the amateur and expert functions Nikon produces, and does them with alacrity and precision. Remember film days and the X1F100 camera? Rated prosumer in quality, all the pros were using them anyway. Same here. A steal of a deal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent camera for all types of photography This camera is a workhorse. Can learn it’s menus and operation in a very short learning curve. Very versatile camera and fun to use. Feels good in your hands. Highly recommend it whether it is your first digital or experienced this camera will stay in your bag for a long time before thinking of replacing it.
