A good little softbox for the money."This is a simple and easy to use softbox based on a umbrella frame. It is light and easy to take with you any were you need to go. Set up is simple, opens like a umbrella and slides into a light stand using a Flash Shoe mount. This has a metal frame which seem to be tough, but if it takes a good hit I am pretty sure it will bend. At this price I think that is acceptable. If you are looking for an umbrella based soft box that is more durable, take a look at the Westcott Apollo line. They have fiberglass ribs/frames which can take a beating and will not break or bend. I have not used this box too much as I bought it for a smaller light weight kit, and I wanted something less expensive to carry with me as a back up. When I have used it the light quality is very good. It is good for one on one shooting like portraits/body shots, and Product photography. It is totally worth the 40$. Also it says that it's 25 inches in diameter when open, but the one I have seems to be close to 33.5 inches."
