Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavenly good but a bit heavy "I'm using this lens on a Sony a6300 with the Sigma MC-11 adapter. When I bought the lens, I had no tripod with me (I was out shopping) so I took the first test shots out of my bare hands. Gosh, is it heavy? Yes, but that is the only thing I could ever complain about. It turned into late night, and I was still out, shooting.. So I aimed at the Moon. And thanks to the excellent image stabilizer in the lens, I managed to have a few nice and shake-free images. And this is not even a night-lens. Due to its ginormous size, the mere F5 aperture is still allowing a ton of lights into the camera body. The real delight is still when you take this lens out daytime, with or without a tripod, and aim at the wildest and farthest objects you may find. The auto focus on my Sony camera work reliably, but the manual zoom is also very easy to control. Since it is a long distance shooter, expect some haze, but that's what Photoshop and the likes are for... My lens collections is now complete for a long while. I suggest to buy the appropriate Sigma USB adapter with this lens, for updates and fine adjustments."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sigma 150-600 sport killer good "Just picked up last week at Newmarket store. Bryan Weiss kindly deliberated my goals in photography which reassured me that buying this lens would suffice my needs as a novice bird photographer. I have owned for 2 weeks now and would agree with most online reviews in regard to this lens. Has fast a/f,quiet operation and superb build quality. It is heavy for sure and you will need a mono-tripod set up at full reach to avoid the shakes. Pics are clear and in focus at all lengths. Using with a Canon 7d first series body and seeing pro results. I thought this lens would be a stepping stone to the L series 600mm prime but I now realize I'm where I need to be for a long time and a lot of prize pics to come my way. Thanks Bryan for your guidance!"
