Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent "The best lens I have owned and used. Worth every penny. Coupled with my M1, it is the best system I have used. I chose the Mft based on my lifestyle (Hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, skiing...). I gives crisp clear photos with a nice bouquet. Coupled with the MC-14 teleconverter, it gives me 75% of the focal range I need."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb "I've own many micro four thrids lenses since adopting the system. I'll be honest, some haven't met with my expectations. While many lenses in the system are superb by any measure, a large number are what you might call consumer-grade glass good, but not acceptable for professional work by today's standards. I own the 12-40mm f/2.8. For this focal length, I tend to prefer primes, specifically the 25mm f/1.4 from Panasonic and the Samyang fisheye for wider shots. The 40-150mm f/2.8, on the other hand, is superb by any standard. I've never used a prime or zoom that produces better results. Its size is distinctly uncharacteristic for the system, but entirely justified given the capabilities of this lens. For the work I do, I find the focal range covers more than 80% of what I do and I rarely use any other lens when I'm shooting with the Olympus. The MC-14 teleconverter is equally impressive and I wouldn't hesitate to use it for professional imaging."
