Good on NEX 6 NP-FW50 - 2 batteries simultaneouslySimultaneously charges the NEX 6 camera battery (battery inserted in the body) and a loose spare NP-FW50 battery:
1) Connect the (NEX 6 supplied) mini-USB to USB cable. The mini-USB cable end to the camera body and the USB cable end to the BC-QM1 charger's USB slot.
2# Insert your spare NP-FW50 battery into the BC-QM1's charger cradle. When inserted, the battery mounts "sideways" at the bottom of the charger #i.e. ,when viewing the charger plugged into a wall AC receptacle#. The NP-FW50 battery looks tiny in the charger.
Three yellow LEDs indicate the charge time - all 3 lit means your battery is fully charged. Fully depleted the NP-FW50 took a little over 3 hours to recharge.
Charger is fairly large in a camera bag. But, because it can charge batteries from a number of other Sony mini digi-cam and camera products, it is useful when upgrading an existing camera system. #Believe it charges the Sony Alpha camera's batteries - check out all the other batteries it can charge#. Regardless of the charger's somewhat larger size, it travels everywhere in my bag.
The BC-QM1 is a well-built and thought-out product. It is well worth the money - it charges 2 batteries at once, charges reasonably quickly and works for a number of Sony products.
