Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to camera for street photography I bought this camera almost a year ago specifically for street photography. Before this, I was lugging a Canon DSLR around the city. This camera is small and silent, and doesn’t draw attention on the streets... oh, and the image quality is SUPERB! Probably even better than some entry level DSLRs with a kit lens. I’ve started packing this along with my DSLR when I go shooting landscapes, and I’m surprised at how well it performs. If you’re a landscape photographer, it’s not going to replace your DSLR by any means, but it’s definitely worth keeping in your pocket or bag. Overall, this little camera is a versatile beast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Camera except for just 3x optical zoom The camera is pocketable and pricey. Its menus take a little getting used to but not too difficult. The picture quality is excellent and night photos look good. The fact that one can transfer photos wirelessly to phone/tablet is very convenient. The remote phone taking app works well as well. I would like to change the camera mode through the remote App. Right now some functions can be changed only in the manual mode.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery Compartment Defective I bought this camera to take with me on hikes. On my first day in Grand Canyon, the battery compartment opened up as I walked 100 feet between photo shots. The battery also fell out and despite a half dozen other people looking for it, it could not be found. The next day, the same thing happened but I found my spare battery this time. I now tape the battery compartment. This shouldn't be necessary on a camera of this cost. The articulating screen should also fold in, as Canon does, so I don't need to add screen protectors. The picture quality varies greatly. Some will have great quality but the next picture - even of the same scene - will be overexposed; no consistency.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cybershot DSC RX100M3 Just bought and like product. Manual very poor to help neophyte read clearly to have sufficient information. Sony went cheap on providing a readable manual

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Point And Shoot Camera! I have now had the RX100M3 for almost 3 weeks and it is everything I had hoped it would be. My main camera is still my Sony a6000 but I now have a smaller version which I can keep in my shirt pocket when out for a walk and as a backup when travelling. I wish closing the pop up EVF didn't shut the camera down but it didn't bother me enough to get the M4 instead. A little pricey but a great little camera! cb

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many hidden qualities This is an amazing little camera that can easily shift from auto shots to manually adjusted shots. There are many different options hiding in the menu. It's lightweight and very well designed. The battery doesn't last long especially if you take panoramas so I bought a second battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat it! My wife and I took a recent trip to Madrid, Spain and Marrakech, Morocco. Weight was an issue, since we were backpacking, and the RX 100 III delivered. We needed a camera that was small, light-weight, and capable of producing excellent pictures and video. We bought the camera two days before our vacation, and the interface was so easy to learn, that we taught ourselves on the train! The video was shot from a terrace about 30m in distance. As you can see, this camera does it all. We loved the Electronic View Finder feature, and as a whole, feel that we definitely got our money's worth.
