Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had my first outing with this lens. Wow i was shocked at how sharp the lens is and how well the IS works. I chose this lens because frankly i didn't need a 2.8. I love my 70-200 F4 L lens and knew i could work with this. I haven't used a ultra wide lens for awhile. It became very clear I have to move in to define my picture. Move in and create the angles and magic. So the wide angle keeps me moving on my feet. The 16-35mm is a real surprise and will be great to have in my bag. I previously had a 17-40mm (years back) and this is a definite step up. I am not pro but and enthusiast. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! "When I bought my 6D a year and a half ago, it comes with the 24-105mm lens. For a while I was content with it. However there were times when I'm shooting my clients backyard projects, or interior and exterior scenes when I can get wide enough. So I did some research for weeks and came to the conclusion this lens is for me. I just bought it today and tested it out. The results are amazing. No longer that I have to stand back in a room to get the whole wall for instance with the 24-105mm, the 16-35mm gets it all. I was shooting buildings as well and was really impressed. My next test is video. It has IS which is great, and with Canon 6D's awesome low light capabilities, I can't wait to see how video turns out. I was contemplating going the upgrade to the 2.8 but I can't justify the dollars, and the new iii series has come out, maybe if I get a client that will fly me around the world, I just may buy it. The Verdict: Get this lens, truly an upgrade to the 24-105mm if you do outdoors, landscapes and such."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Landscape and Crowd Shots Easy "With a Canon 6D, this lens is a joy. It's amazing just how wide the image is. It's almost like taking panoramas. People don't even have to crowd together. Going out to 35mm gives you great walkaround range. It's not even all that heavy, on the 6D. Images are sharp corner to corner."
