Rated 5 out of 5 by from No 1 APS-C sensor size camera with great AF I've owned Sony A77M2 for half year now. I have to say that I did a lot of research prior to make my decision and I was having on my mind Nikon D7100 and Canon 70D until I've seen this one... And I have to say I'm definitely satisfied with it's performance so far. Although as a beginner in this field I'm still exploring it's endless possibilities. Great AF, 12 fps in burst mode nails every moment between moments and delivers great over 90% in focus photos. I've done also some footage with it and have to say that I'm lovin' it's LCD screen that you can shift in literally every direction. However, could be LCD touch... I hope that maybe in future Sony will consider to improve this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Results The Sony alpha 77ii puts advanced technology in the palm of your hand. The menus are thoughtfully laid out, easy to set up and easy to apply during use. The a77ii produces stunning results with accurate colors, mind-blowing clarity and excellent image quality. The capabilities of the a77ii in low light photography have exceeded my expectations as well. While this is a large camera, I do not find it heavy, bulky or difficult to handle. I am extremely pleased with the Sony alpha 77ii.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Camera "`The Sony a77 II has been on my wanted list for quite some time, and getting a chance to use it made me understand why it is so sought after. 79 AF points and a 24.3MP APS-C sensor, it makes this camera a serious bargain for what you can do with it. Shooting things in motion such as wildlife and sports is made much easier with a precise camera such as this. The only draw back is that the pictures start to get choppy at around 3200 iso, making the 25600 range not so necessary in my opinion (unless you need to use a lot of night time shots without flash and don't care about the quality?). Regardless, this camera is my #1 choice."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alpha-77M2 I own an Alpha-55, and got the Alpha-77 to improve my ability to use a higher ISO range. The Alpha-77 is a great improvement, giving clean images up to at least ISO 3200. It also has a much wider manual ISO selection than the 55. The buttons are in familiar places, but the menu is much improved. The 77 is more substantially constructed, the shutter is a dream, and I like the heavy duty 16-50mm lens a lot. The only thing I don't like a LOT better than the Alpha-55 is the separate little door for the memory chip...I thought the Alpha-55 plan that had both the battery & the chip in the same compartment was better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth it!! Expensive body compare to other brand, doesn't feel that great while handling it because of the small grip. So what does it do better? Those are for me, minor details. The image quality is good thanks to a good image processing from the chipset, fast AF, good low light performances, very good video quality. Lens are sharp and nice build feel (not a plastic feeling). The menu are very well done, only lacking a touch screen to make it the best for faster change in settings.(minor option). This camera is able to give you a good compromise in many aspect without losing to much for the price point. The one thing I feel that was overview was the image/remote app that is lacking in everything for more use. But the image transfers is faster than some other competitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No expectations but definitely delivered I've had my A77M2 around two months now and I love it. It only took me a few days to remember where all the options were in the menus. Battery life seems to work for me. I can't wait to purchase more lenses so that I can see the real power of this camera. - The reason why I marked it down in the rating was because (1) as stated before, no internal or attachable GPS (2) Why do I have an option to create a RAW file but no software to transfer/convert it from a Sony file onto my Mac (3) When purchasing an HVL-F43AM flash or larger, make sure you buy the right shoe adapter because all of the SLRs don't have the same hot shoe for all the other Sony flash accessories... You'll need to purchase the ADP-AMA not the ADP-MAA. I think that is all for now but overall I like the updated A77.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sports and Wildlife yes! My initial experience with this camera is quite good. Combined with the SAL70300G 70-300mm zoom I've had all positive experiences shooting wildlife: birds in flight, one of the most difficult things for autofocus to perform. I had also hoped the AF would perform well on a dark dance floor with the 50mm f1.8 lens. However I have not found this to be as secure in the low light as my Fuji cameras. Take this with a grain of salt as I have only had the camera for 1 week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I had done a lot of research before purchasing, so there were no surprises for me. One of the best resources is dxomark's sensor measurements. Also slrgear for lens reviews. It's everything I thought it would be and have very few wishes for improvement. The kit lens is great, but too soft in the corners for serious work requiring edge-to-edge sharpness.
