Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product I want to point something out to everyone. I've seen reviews reporting that the tripod can't hold the weight of the phone and that it drifts. I've also seen Joby employees and random people confirm that there is no solution to this. It took me all of but 10 seconds when this happened to me to realize that there is a little screw on the side of the tilt/pan handle that you can tighten or loosen to make it faster or slower and consequently stronger or weaker, if you tighten it up a bit you can pan and tilt very smoothly and the device does not drift AT ALL.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adjusting arm broke off after having it for 1 week... :( Joby emailed me and asked for a review so here you go.  I got the Gorillapod Video because I shoot a lot of videos with my phone. One problem that seemed to constantly happen is having to tighten the screw near the adjusting arm so that the camera would stay in place... that was annoying to say the least.  Then... about 1 week after having my Joby, the adjusting arm just snapped off... kind of a bummer since I paid extra for it...  My advice if you're looking for something to hold your phone, get the regular GripTight Gorillapod... NOT the one with the adjustment arm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy Two, to Get One I purchased the Joby w/video head, thinking this would give me a great platform to shoot video as well as a stable mount for still shots. On mounting the camera, I noticed the head would "drift" downward under the weight of the phone, making it impossible to take a static shot. After looking all over the tripod for some kind of 'lock' function, I contacted Joby, who told me the video head has no lock, and you have to hold the camera at all times. As I was told; "if you look at our Video, you see the photographer holding the camera." Really? So that means if I want to shoot stills, I have to buy their other model for still shooting. No...I'm afraid not. I will go to someone else's product. It would have taken very little effort to incorporate a position-lock into their premier product. I've never run into a tripod that didn't have this standard feature. This is a "limited-function" product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Joby for the Job I have three video camera two photographic cameras all with expensive tripods. but there are days when I'm heading out hiking or in a crowded club watching a musical act. And I don't or can't bring along my expensive gear.  The Joby does the job just as well if not better than gear 10 times it price. With the Mag feet you can mount it in places you can't other tripods.  For the Price I give it 10 out of 10. I've used it for personal and professional purposes and it works. It's a great product It's that simple

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept. Somewhat lacking execution. Love the idea of this product - and have enjoyed other Joby products (Gorillapod) - but... Though movement is smooth, too much force is required for tilt/pan, given the small size of the product. And there's a noticeable "rebound" when after you stop moving, no matter how slowly/smoothly the movement - the final position slips slightly in the opposite direction. Alas - I had hoped this would be a great video attachment for the iPhone. If anyone out there is a way to resolve this, please share!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing sucks This product is a great idea, but the implementation of it is poor. This is why it markets well. The functionality of each feature is weaker than expected. The stand DOES NOT hold an IPhone as advertised. You can position it and make it hold in a certain position but you WILL NOT get it to hold the Iphone in the position you'd like at that moment. The IPhone is too heavy for it. The product is just annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the magnets! Although I bought the wrong product and had to return it for a bigger tripod, this product really impressed me. I like the magnets and the company's customer service.
