Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Great Lens, especially for the money" "I don't think you'll find a bad review for this lens. It is heavy but it's fantastic. Quick, quiet, fantastic IQ, and inexpensive. The vibration control is amazing."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended "After years of disappointment with my Canon zoom lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III, I finally upgraded to this Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DI VC USD. The USD motor is extremely accurate and fast, and provides full-time manual focusing, so no need to switch from AF/MF mode. The VC is incredible. I managed to take great shots handheld at 300m on a T2i at shutter speeds as slow as 1/8 seconds. Also works great for stabilizing videos no problem at all even at 300mm. The image quality is great, on par with Canon's 50mm f/1.8 lens, which is highly recommended also. For it's price, I was absolutely amazed by the performance."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for your buck. "This is the best 70-300 lens currently available in a Canon mount, IMO. I've tried both Canon & Sigma and was dissapointed that niether were IF or had fulltime manual focus overide. VC is very good and the USD is very smooth and quiet. Knurled soft rings for zoom and focus were comfortable and well placed. The included petal hood is a feature that all lenses should ship with ( considering what we pay for them ) If the October 2010 issue of 'Digital Camera' in their telephoto lens group shootout had tested this lens instead of the AF 70-300 F/4 5.6 DI LD Macro I'm sure that the results would have been very different. At 30% less than comparable non-pro lenses, this one deserves a home in anyone's lens inventory."
