Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this lens "Very quick, very fast, large aperture and produces a very sharp image. Outside that it also looks great on my 60D. :) I've had this lens for about 4 months now and it's on my camera more than any other lens. I've tried the 18-135 and 18-200 but they were slow, clunky and noisy in comparison. It's an expensive lens in comparison but well worth the money! I was also surprised at the macro ability... As always a lens hood would be nice. If Canon were to make an EF-S L lens I'm sure this would qualify."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic lens! "If this lens had a constant aperture it would be about as perfect as a zoom can get for my uses. (I shoot a lot of climbing, i.e. environmental portraiture.) This is my favorite zoom lens. It covers an excellent focal length range, and the 24 mm equivalent wide end is my favorite part! Images are excellent, and the lens is relatively non-descript, small and light. A great walk about and general purpose lens with top notch optics! Couldn't recommend an EF-S lens more."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellant lens "With very good, if not excellent results, Canon has released an excellent general purpose lens. If you were looking for an upgrade to a kit lens and can't decide between wide angle and telephoto, this could be an excellent choice. The USM is of course very fast and quiet. It make great pictures. The lens is well made."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good lens! "I love this lens! I bought this lens to use as a general purpose lens and it was a good choice! The only thing i don't like is it's an EF-S but it's still a great lens since i'm not going to a full frame for a while. I'm sticking to my 7D. It's quiet, fast and I LOVE how you can autofocus but adjust the focus freely after autofocusing without wrecking the motor. A+++ in my books! You won't regret it!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much Better Results "I recently purchased a Canon EOS 60D with a 18-135mm zoom lens. I was not very much impressed of the lens, so I decided to replace it with a 15-85mm zoom. It may be more expensive and the zoom is less powerful but I have no regrets, results are much better than the older one, probably the best zoom lens I ever had so far. I would not hesitate to recommend it."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Nice Lens I replaced my kit lens on the 7D with no regrets. I shoot video with this lens and the results are stunning. I love the Video-DOF of the 7D and treat this lens as a 24-135 lens. I would not hesitate to recommend this lens.
