Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to lens "Primary use: Wildlife and birds on a Canon T5I. Pros: The glass is amazingly clear, pictures are incredibly sharp at f/5.6. The great build quality you'd expect from an L lens. The built in hood is an unexpected bonus that ensures you'll never leave it in your camera bag. Cons: The only con is the lack of image stabilization but I haven't had any trouble getting amazing photo's. I bought my lens used with an 8+ rating on Henry's website. Henry's must rate on the cautious side because it was in almost perfect condition, including the original packaging. I highly recommend this lens to anyone wanting a little more reach without sacrificing clarity."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite lens "Primary use: Birding and wildlife Camera body: Canon 7D Pros: Great clarity of glass, relatively light (for a 400mm), sharp wide open at f/5.6, built in hood is so convenient (don't overlook this advantage), quality build, and price. Cons: No image stabilization (IS) - This would negate the price and weight pros from above. Large max aperture of f/5.6, so not as good in low light as its much more expensive alternatives - This would also negate the price pro from above. Minimum focusing distance is greater than that of the 100-400mm by about double. I just step back a few more feet to compensate for this. Not usually an issue. Summary I bought this lens because it fell into my price range for the type of shooting I wanted to do with it. Its L series quality is is evident when you hold it. Solid. This lens is a prime, sharp even wide open at f/5.6. Many people choose between this and the Canon 100-400mm zoom. My main reason for this lens is birding. I always used my 100-300mm at 300mm and it was hardly enough. I knew I was going to shoot at 400mm 90% of the time. This is a great length. I highly recommend this lens. It preforms very well in good light. I've used it in winter and summer with great results. I purchased this lens knowing that I would need to compensate for the lack of IS and max aperture of f/5.6. This lens is a tool and only as good as the photographer using it. You can overcome any drawbacks with better shooting skills. If you're interested in sample images, check out my flickr stream www.flickr.com/adambender All my recent bird photography is shot with this lens. I highly recommend this lens. Adam"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little belt bag - great quality from Think Tank! "Bought this belt bag to hold my Nikon D300 with a couple of lenses for those days I want to travel light. This bag is fantastic value that can also be used with the very nice shoulder strap included with it. It comes with a Pixel Pocket to hold all your memory cards and even a weather cover. The build quality is very good and great materials used throughout. The top cover opens away from you making access to your equipment very easy. The one thing I think is extraneous, is the zipper on the top cover - it's too small to pull a camera and lens through and even with my small hands, difficult to pull out a small lens to change - but a very minor point on a great bag."
