Product Highlights
  • Neutral Density filters have several uses and offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results.
  • ND filters appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance. They have four main uses:
  • 1) To enable slow shutter speeds to be used, especially with high speed films, to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, or cars.

  • ND filters appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance. They have four main uses:
  • 1) To enable slow shutter speeds to be used, especially with high speed films, to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, or cars.
  • 2) To decrease depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used, which helps separate subjects from their background.
  • 3) To decrease the effective ISO of high speed film (above ISO 400) and allow it to be used outdoors in bright situations.
  • 4) To allow cine and video cameras (which have fixed shutter speeds) to film subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes which could cause overexposure.
  • These filters are available in increments from one stop to twenty stops exposure reduction.
  • Neutral Density factors:
  • BW101 (ND.3) (exposure adjustment = 1 stop, reduces ISO 1/2)
  • BW102 (ND.6) (exposure adjustment = 2 stops, reduces ISO 1/4)
  • BW103 (ND.9) (exposure adjustment = 3 stops, reduces ISO 1/8)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nikon D 7100 "Hi, to write a review and to be impartial ( Nikon vs Canon vs etc)is difficult for everybody but I will share my opinion. I`m not a photographer for weddings, special occasions, landscaping etc. but I like to capture important moments around me. I have three photo cameras: - Nikon D60 - 18-55 mm DX VR - Canon EOS 550D - 70-300 mm 1:4-5.6 IS USM - Nikon D7100 - AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D and 18-140 mm DX VR I wrote in the order that I bought the cameras in the last 10 years. I do not consider myself an expert to discuss about technical details or to compare the photo cameras, I will share only my opinion about D 7100. From the moment I have purchased this camera, I have discovered another picture quality. The manner to setup everything is easy, I can say professional... the camera body sits well in my hand, the flash light is very good and what I like very much is that has two SD cards slots that let me to play as I want. I do not like gadgets, rotating screens, touch screens etc...a photo camera must offer simplicity, flexibility, accuracy and off course, the price must reflect this characteristics. Was very difficult for me to decide between Canon D 70 and Nikon D 7100. Are amazing cameras but because of the existing gadgets to Canon, I decided to purchase Nikon D 7100. Is just a matter of personal ""taste""... In the end I want to say that a photo camera is a tool that we need to capture images. The background composition and imagination that we have as photographers make the difference."
