Rated 5 out of
"Not a good value, but it is a great lens""I gave this lens a full 5 out of 5 only because I have elected to not rate ""Value"". After a couple of hours, it is very heavy, it is huge and it draws massive attention with its tan color and red ring. Now that the negative stuff is out of the way. 28mm-300mm is pretty much a textbook everything lens. I have used it for almost every outdoor situation. Sports, weddings, car shows, Anything. The stabilization is very good, at 300mm you can easily photograph clear shots without a mono or tripod. I would recommend staying over 1/60th or getting a tripod at or near 300mm. I personally like the slide zoom. Once you get used to it, you will miss not having it. It lets you quickly acquire the subject, then zoom in and track. This is a fantastic lens that focuses very quickly. Its hard to recommend it, You might as well burn your money. Once you use it, it will never stay at home, it will always be with you on the the camera or the camera bag. I should not need to mention that the optics are nearly flawless, it is an ""L"" lens. If you need a more technical assessment, go look online."
