Precise Control

With an F3.5 aperture throughout the entire zoom range, the 10-20mm F3.5 is perfect for low light photography. Sigma wide angle lenses accentuate the relationship of subjects within a photo and thus become an important creative tool. This Sigma fast fixed aperture makes photography easier for the photographer who wishes to precisely control their depth of field and also for working with non TTL Flash systems. Super Multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting, four aspherical lenses provide correction for distortion and inner focusing system eliminates front lens rotation and suitable for use of polarizing filters. Perfect for shooting landscape photography, architecture, building interiors, photojournalism, wedding photography, group pictures and more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely yes "I love this lens! I recently purchased and used it with my Nikon D5100, and I was awestruck by the results. I'm going to now begin with the comment(s) most people look for: ****** CONS ******. The thing that worried me most about this lens was its weight- it's heavier than the Nikon 55-200mm and 18-55mm I have it's a bit larger than other 10-20mms. But no worries! The mounting is metal (made in Japan, good quality, no cut corners) so neither the camera or lens will get damaged, unless you do something really strange with them.. Well, even if something happens to the lens Sigma provides a 10 year warranty for ANY damages. Only within Canada though the US gives a 3 or 4 year warranty. The second thing that had me going was the speed but it's not a big issue. Nikon's equivalent is $1300 with f/4-5.6, 12mm-24mm, so that tells you its speed isn't that fast either. But this can depend on your settings. Now more directly to the ****** PROS ******! Sigma's actually selling this lens for $950, so a $779 from Henry's is a save. I wanted to get a lens with 16mm in it, and I'm so glad I chose this lens: I love the quality I get out on my photos the speed is pretty fair focusing is sweet, smooth and fast smooth handling overall constant f3.5 (the key difference from the f4-5.6) good for night and nice and aesthetically pleasing build. Sigma's also improved the quality of photos taken from 10mm but with slight reductions from 17-20mm. The photos I've taken have been really sharp and dynamic great fun to use for an amateur or pro. Again, I use the D5100 (crop sensor) full frame sensors apparently have some vignetting when using this lens. This tells you that there are some other things you may want to look into, like the ""DC"" in the title. Overall, this lens is a very good buy."
