Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whatever level you are this is a great camera "I actually use this DLSR and love it. My first love you could say (at least in the DSLR realm!). I use an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens (which I also purchased from Henry's) with the Nikon D5100. --Removing and attaching the lenses are easy and enjoyable (yes, it just feels awesome!). =--the adjustable live view is extremely beneficial for many shots like when you want to take ground level photos with or without a tripod. =--easy to hold/handle because (I) grip and (ii) Its light weight. Several useful features that are easy to use. =--I like that I can adjust the ISO (sometimes you just have to) to levels higher than other cameras. --When you know where everything is (aperture settings, shutter speed settings, and so on then this becomes an easy to use camera. --An additional note: There is a mount you can get that'll allow you to use Sony lenses. So if you have Sony lenses and aren't sure about getting a Nikon, there you have it. --The only flaw so far is that the live view doesn't show you what the image will look like when you've taken the photo. However, if you change the white balance settings the live view will show the colour change. This may be my first DSLR but I know how to use it fairly well, learning from pros directly. So yes, I don't buy into the gimmicks and know this camera's capabilities (and still discovering my own). This is a great camera."
