Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding lens "I looked at and read reviews on this lens for well over a year before I decided to make the purchase ten months ago. I am starting to shoot professionally so this lens was a must. I had no regrets after buying this lens. Yes it's an expensive lens but I think it's worth every penny. I have shot concerts in almost dark situations with amazing results. This lens is fast, has good macro capabilities and produces excellent colour and very sharp images. I use it with a Canon 50d and 40d cameras. I thought my 17-40mm f/4L was a good lens. This one beats them all."
