Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid range DSLR pkg "I originally wanted the T3i model/kit with70-300mmUSM but before I made my final committment I also reconsidered the 60D kit w 18-200mmIS when it came on sale at only $300 more at the time. The 60D kit offered more value and a better lense, so took the plunge and got this instead. I have NO regrets so far having had it a about 6 months. I find the 18-200mm a very versatile lense for many photographic opportunities. I also selected the 60D because many reviews in the astronomy community reccommended it for astrophotography. I've now started learning the astro side and is my ultimate goal is to see the deep space objects I can reach with my telescope (cpc925). Overall this camera is everything I could hope for and got it at a great price too at $1249.99. Maybe some day I'll upgrade to the Canon 7 or 5 models who knows...saving my $$. My only negative of the lense... I cannot always get a sharp focus at night of the sky, lunar or planetary due that the lense in manual mode has to be very slightly turned back from the end aka infinity because all the way to the end objects are slightly out of focus. With alot of practice, a light touch, a good eye and good seeing/atmospheric conditions I'm getting better finding the sweet spot for focus under this photo application. But overall this 60D & 18-200mm lense is a great combination. I highly reccommend it."
