Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Great controls, nice power. Versatile" "As mentioned above, the interface on this flash is great. It is easy to control multiple flashes all from this one, with separate settings for each. The power is great, and the built in reflector and diffuser is useful. As for the overheating issue, I've never run into that, however I do not shoot with a flash on all shots. If you are not consistently using the flash on every shot, you probably will not run into this issue at all."

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow Writing compared to other 400x Cards I've been using other 400x cards for shooting sports with excellent results. This card was recommend as having the same performance but costing less. When I tried it in my 7D it seemed slower so I did some additional timing tests. My Lexar 16gb 400x card will clear the buffer on my 7D in ~8 seconds. This Transcend card took ~18 to clear the buffer. I tried this test several times with similar results. I'll be returning this card.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful (Maybe too much so) "After owning the SB-900 for over a year and after using it on dozens of occasions I now understand why Nikon released the SB-910 model upgrade. The SB-900 sets ou to do everything it's designed to do. It throws a lot of power and has the best UI (user interface) I've ever seen on a speedlight but comes with a Thermal Overheat Protection system built-in. This is a system that is supposed to prevent the SB-900 from overheating, however, it tends to always overheat when you're about to take the most critical shots and stays in Overheat Protection Mode for over 10 minutes before you can start shooting again. The SB-910 is supposed to correct this issue and has a higher protection/threshold. I may need to upgrade or keep the SB-900 as a spare. Love Nikon, but I'm not in love with the performance of this flash. 5 stars on quality, but performance makes me give it a 3 star rating."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Great speedlight, extremly useful in a wide range of settings. Fairly big in size, but its worth hauling around. The addition of over-temp protection is great news as it protects iteself against over heating, something previously not available with speedlights. Also, working with the Nikon CLS wireless creative system is always a blast!"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Flash "Recently acquired the SB-900 speedlight. I like the swivel head and the included gels and gel holder are very nice to work with, even though inserting the gels into the holder is a little fussy. Recommended!"
