Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first L. "This is my first L lens. I've had it about a year now. I love the 2.8 aperture throughout the range. Its my favorite lens I own. If your thinking about getting this lens, don't' hesitate. You won't be disappointed. If you have an extra $1000 get the IS version. If your on a budget like myself, don't worry. The lens is fast enough that you don't need the IS unless your shooting in very low light conditions, then just use a tripod, Henry has them also. The only issue is after prolong usage your wrist get tired from having so much glass in your hand, but its something not worth complaining about since the quality is SO GOOD."
