Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way more than meets the eye. I purchased the tripod and camera ball mount about a year ago. They both do what they are designed for. Superb quality and durability. I moved and misplaced the small level clip so can't use the thing any more and can't find the replacement clips. If I could find them I would buy one for each camera and a few spares. Excellent system, just don't lose the camera clip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes the Gorillapod SLR Zoom really usable I bought a Gorillapod SLR Zoom but quickly realized that it was near impossible to aim my camera with any sort of precision without a ballhead. I decided to get this one and it's working great! It allows me to really point my camera or flashes where I want them. Can't recommend using the SLR Zoom without this one, but with it's a very competent solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for right handers I've been using the ball head on a monopod for over a month now and find that it works well - allowing me to angle the camera in order to get a good shot. However, the slot to get the camera pointing more than 15 degrees down puts the locking wheel on the right hand side of the monopod. Which isn't so convenient if your left handed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strange thread... I sent away for this item a couple of months ago, before a current trip to the Colombian Pacific rain forest. Now that I want to use it, I find I can't mount it on my Joby Gorilla tripod, because the screw thread is so large. I'm using it as a paperweight--expensive one, though...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from additional camera plates for SLR ball head Great product, very robust, quick to set up. I use multiple video cameras in water sports events mounted on three SLR ball heads; sometimes mounted on the hulls, sometimes on mono pods, and some on Gorilla flex ball tripods. Occasionally i have to mount a Zoom H1 audio system on a SLR ball also. I have more cameras than clip mounts and would like to equip each camera with it's own clip as i have to move cameras quickly. And they occasionally get lost when removing batteries or replacing cards. Where can I buy several+ camera clips so that all units have a their own clips permanently mounted. (Great bonus to the large diameter SLR Balls is that the clutch drag plate can be set to "slight drag" and then the camera can be panned on the head mounted on a monopod with a smooth "fluid head" like effect. The plastic head is machined smooth enough that there are no bumps in the pan, or tilt. The Manfrotto head had an uneven surface, giving a 'skipping and sticking' drag) Thanks in advance for the clip purchase info.
