Explore more of the world with wider zoom range

Every aspect and component of the RX100 VI has been skilfully engineered to work in tandem to achieve unrivalled image quality. Cleverly designed optics pack incredible power in a small footprint, while optical image stabilization maintains a steady image even with handheld shots at the telephoto end of the zoom range. And the advanced image processing engine delivers better perceived image resolution with low noise.

Sophisticated, high-performance optics

The newly designed ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* 24-200 mm2 F2.8-4.5 lens is effectively configured to achieve maximum resolution and clarity across the entire zoom range, while correcting for spherical, coma and chromatic aberrations. It brings truly remarkable telephoto capability to a pocket-size package, to vastly expand your range of creative expression.

Optical SteadShot

Optical SteadyShot™

Sony is proud of its sophisticated image stabilization system, and now they've improved it even further, providing a degree of stabilization equivalent to raising the shutter speed 4.0 stops at the 200mm telephoto end. Capture high-quality images even at long range and in low light, with reliably steady handheld shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dramatic improvement over the SONY DSC-RX100M2 Sharper concert videos. Useful zoom range for almost anything. Clip on a monopod or stabilizer for extended use at 200mm for video. The in-camera image stabilizer can only do so much. Invest in a power bank of suitable capacity for recording a 2 hour concert. Autofocus is the best yet. Touch screen is perfect for snap-to focus position and playback mode. A carry over feature is the control ring which I use solely for exposure control especially during video recording where the stage lighting can play havoc with the auto exposure setting. Button customization is useful for your most used setting. Revised menu needs some getting used to. Low light images at higher ISOs still look like a water coloured painting and cannot compete with a full-frame sensor on a DSLR mated to a similar interchangeable zoom lens. Otherwise, the M6 is an excellent, pocketable and albiet expensive compact camera in it's category for my use.
