I've been waiting for these to returnI bought two – two packs directly from Westcott as soon as I got the email that they were available. I had been waiting for their re-release because I own four of the original H2Pro Bags and I love them. They changed the way I think about weights for my studio equipment. I recently packed my four original bags for a trip to California. They were easily the lightest and least bulky things I took on that trip. I never would have taken sand bags across the country, but these make shooting safely on location easy. So, as you can guess, I didn’t think anything needed improved but, on this version, the water fill cap is much larger. It allows you to fill it faster (because we’re never running behind on location, right?) and I assume it allows you to dump it faster as well (so you can get out of the location faster.) Otherwise, at first look, they seem unchanged from the original. That’s a good thing because I loved the original. Some other features: There is an ability to zip 2 or more bags together for added weight. When filled with water, each bag weighs approximately 8 ¾ lbs. So, 2 would give you a 17 ½ pound weight etc. Each bag has two straps on it. This gives more versatility for positioning the bags than the sand bags that I used to use. The water bladder is enclosed in a tough material and is removable to allow you to fill it (in that bathroom sink) without spilling water on the outer covering and dripping all the way back to your setup.
