Building on the Olympus legacy of Tough, the TG-1 waterproof specification increases to 40ft, a 7 foot improvement over previous models, and features a double locking battery door and HDMI port door. A water repellant coating dispels water droplets from lens.
System Expandability On Land Or In Water!
Get more from your Olympus TG-1 than from other compact cameras - a conversion adapter allows for the addition of Waterproof Tele and Fisheye converter lenses for use on land or in water (waterproof to 12m). The conversion adapter also allows you to equip the TG-1 with Universal 40.5mm filters (PL or protective glass filter for extra scratch-resistance)

The TG-1 produces dramatically smoother videos than other cameras that use traditional image stabilization methods by automatically correcting for three types of movement, so go ahead and record while you walk, zoom in on a scene or track your subject, the Olympus TG-1 will minimize the movement enabling you to record captivating, smooth video.
The TG-1 utilizes linear PCM recording for better-than-CD audio quality.
Super Sport Mode

Super-fast shutter speeds (1/500 to 1/2000) and Sequential shooting up to 60fps (at 3M) ensure you'll catch every split-second of the fun - all you have to do is hold down the shutter button! The TG-1 sports Fast AF, originally designed for DSLR cameras so you don't have to worry about blurred images.
Low Light Mode
Shoot without the flash to capture the true ambiance of a nighttime or low light scene. Low Light Mode automatically detects night scenes and increases the ISO setting to compensate.
