I had been wanting to do this workshop/tour for a long time - wish it would be offered in Fall (even Winter) as there are plenty of things to photograph at the Zoo.
I went on a cloudy overcast day (bit of drizzle) but it was perfect lighting conditions for photographing all the animals.
Three great instructors, handful of participants with the same passion and some cool lenses to try with one-to-one coaching makes for a an awesome outing! I learned a lot and fun doing so.
Well worth it...I would like to see more of these workshops at the Zoo...perhaps in Winter too for indoor pavilions.

Not much more an experience then the price of the general admission. Was expecting more in the way of instruction, behind scenes access, and insight. The zoo volunteer was very friendly and helpful. It was nice to try the canon 400. 2.8 but easily could have rented it for the day at the price. Definitely a longer lens / zoom helps see the animals through the fence and capture a more natural scene. Feeding times are best for most zoo animals. And Overcast days are best for lighting.
