This is an awsome tripod for the size. I have a Nikon 7000 with an 18-200 lens and it handles it with no problem. This is the small tripod I have been searching for.

Great portable little tripod. So small that I've thrown this into my shoulder bag when I go on trips and don't want to carry a full size tripod. I've owned other tabletop tripods before including the Gorillapods and find that their either too big or like the Gorillapods, require too much setup time for stable platform on a flat surface. Has a very low centre of gravity so that it hold a lot of weight - mounted my D300 + MBD10 grip + 70-300mm VR lens on it with no problems. One thing to remember though is to make sure a leg is under the lens to prevent the tripod from toppling over with a lens heavy camera combination. That's just physics and not a problem with this low profile tripod. It's great at handling a heavy weight because of its low to the ground profile - the trade off for this stability is that you'll need a table or ledge to put this 'pod on if you want the camera at eye level. This tripod is a great portable support with a pretty good ballhead for this size and price. Like a camera, the best tripod is the one that you'll have with you.
