  • OH MY GOD WHAT A LENS

  • April 02, 2011
  • By: Mike

I bought this lens for family photos mainly for my nephew and all I can say is wow. With this lens he will never grow up and I will be able to capture 1000perfect shots of that baby face before it disappears for ever but these photos are nothing but timeless. This ia a perfect lens for Brads D7000

Of all Nikon's 1.4 primes, this is by far the best value. Very reasonable price. Great for portraits and low light.

  • Perfection

I bought this to put on a D600. It's never left the camera. Walk around street, family, get togethers, grand kids. They don't come any better. And no spot issues with D600 since it was serviced.

  • Light and Sharp!

  • July 06, 2015
  • By: Sergei

I got this as my first lens for Nikon D750. It's a great lens especially for people like me who are coming to FX format from DX cameras and cheap zoom lenses (Nikon D5300). I find I have to step AWAY from whatever I'm shooting because the picture is so much bigger in the viewfinder than with a DX camera. The lens doesn't have VR (stabilzation) so when shooting without a tripod it helps to keep the Shutter Speed close to the Focal Distance (1/50). This lens deserves all the kudos because it's 1) Light 2) Tack Sharp 3) Creates excellent Bokeh and of course 4) Excellent in Low Light Conditions. You will love it!

This lens has opened up the door for many opportunities with my photography. This lens was recommended by a henry's employee who inspired me to broaden my horizon with portrait photography. It gives strong depth of field, and simply a unique out-take of the image!

  • Wonderful lens

  • April 01, 2011

I was amazed at how sharp this lens is, even wide open. It's a wonderful companion on the D700 and I'm sure a great addition to any other Nikon body. Highly recommended, it makes me want to buy more Nikon prime lenses.
