Modern performance. Classic cool.

You can plan on capturing some of life's greatest memories in a photo. But most are spontaneous and occur when lugging a bulky DSLR wasn't on your things-to-take-along list. That's why the new Olympus OM-D E-M10 should be your next camera.

You've never seen — or shot with – anything that is this compact and easy to carry while delivering such amazing image quality. Packed with the revolutionary, state-of-the-art imaging technology of the OM-D series, the E-M10 offers incredible features that make it worthy of the OM-D family. This super-small, retro-styled premium interchangeable lens camera tops others in its class when it comes to image quality, performance and operability. Plus, it's designed to be taken anywhere — so you can shoot incredible photos every day.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 DSLR

The E-M10 boasts a powerful TruePic™ VII image processor, a large, interactive electronic viewfinder, built-in flash and WiFi, a warp-speed AF system that allows sequential shooting at 8fps (yes, eight!), and much more. So ditch the bulky DSLR and lighten up with the E-M10.

Keep your eye on the prize with a large, easy-to-see EVF.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 features a large, easy-to-see EVF.

Shooting at eye level is comfortably familiar. And when you get a live view of exposure, white balance and other useful information, and the ability to control highlights, shadows, colors and more – as you do with the E-M10's electronic viewfinder – you're in position to take some of the best photos of your life. You can also apply various framing grids and a leveling guide for composing better photos and even monitor video recording!

The high-res EVF (1.44 million pixels) provides 1.15x magnification, double-speed 120fps refresh rate and adaptive brightness technology, which automatically adjusts brightness to the optimum setting for a more natural display.

Unprecedented image quality.

The lens technology, sensor and image processor are the core of any digital camera. The OM-D E-M10's partner in photographic excellence is the acclaimed Olympus M.ZUIKO lens system, a family of professional-grade glass that delivers unsurpassed resolution and overall image quality. The E-M10 ups the ante by pairing a 16MP Live MOS sensor with Olympus' most powerful TruePic VII image processor for extraordinary resolution and accurate color rendition. Add 3-axis in-body image stabilization that compensates for horizontal and vertical angular shifts as well as camera shake along the optical axis, and you have a camera that captures incredibly sharp images and video, yet is compact enough to bring just about anywhere.

The OM-D E-M10 is perfectly paired with the M.ZUIKO lens system.

More built-ins. Fewere add-ons.

The OM-D E-M10 feautres Wi-Fi, OI.Share, geotagging and more

You might not think a camera this compact would have so many great features built right in. Think again. The OM-D E-M10 is the first OM-D series camera with a built-in flash, and also has built-in WiFi (for full remote control, geotagging and sharing via the OI.Share app) and a tiltable touchscreen.

Life moves fast... and the E-M10 is designed to keep pace.

High-speed sequential shooting – at a best-in-class 8fps – and super high-speed FAST AF technology ensure that you won't miss the shot no matter how quickly your subject is moving. In fact, the autofocus tracking function is better than ever thanks to enhancements to the group target Continuous AF function. The E-M10 also provides an 81-point AF grid that covers the entire image frame, giving you more focus options than basic DSLRs.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 with 81-point AF grid for more focus options

With so many creative tools, finding the shot is only the beginning.

Focus peaking in manual focus mode. Color Creator. HDR and HDR bracketing. Twelve Art Filters and nine Art Effects. Photo Story (including a new Zoom In/Out theme). Photo and Movie Capture (high-quality stills while shooting a movie – at an insane 5fps in P/A/S/M mode). Live Composite Mode for capturing starscapes intuitively. The E-M10 offers you an incredible array of easy-to-use creative tools that can transform your photos from excellent to spectacular.

  • Olympus EM10

  • January 23, 2015
  • By: Edward

Absolutely love this camera, have switched from using a canon 1D and 1Ds. This was a very hesitant switch for me and I tried both the EM5 and EM10. For my purposes the EM10 wins hands down. The EM5 functionally is not the same camera, contrarily to most of the reviews out there. The EM10 is a way better camera. Ironically does not have enough of a draw to warrant the price difference. Olympus does drop the ball with a few things and needs to really open up to design feedback if they seriously want to compete with the DSLR big boys. That being said this is a fantastic camera and one that will challenge your concepts on photography if you come from a film SLR background. I shoot full manual all the time and use wireless flash regularly.

The E-M10 offers almost everything the E-M5 did, plus a bit more, at a much lower starting price. It was the most complete mirrorless camera so far.
