Great Amateur Film Product

Sevenoak has been impressing me with much of their entry level film equipment and the Camera Slider is no different. Overall it does exactly what it needs to do, the camera mounts with relative ease to the slider. The actual movement of the slider is smooth making for some great video shots. This product will do what you want it to do and with some additional features such as the two included feet or the ability of it to mount on a tripod make it a generally versatile camera slide. The slider feels quite rugged, make of a light weight but durable material and includes a level to ensure a quality shot. The price of this product is definitely worth it for anyone interested in developing some more dynamic shots in the video filming.
I do have a couple critiques of this product, however these are more nit picks than series issues with the product. First off, the slider makes some noise when sliding. This wouldn't be a problem at all if you are recording audio separate from the camera, however, the camera mic will pick up some of this noise, slight though it may be. Second, I would have liked it if the slider itself were set up with a tripod like head mount for easier connecting of the camera. As is you need to take the slider off the rail to mount or dismount a camera, however if you have the feet on you have to take one off first to then get to the slider. It makes it a bit more of an ordeal. Lastly, the slider needs a handle or alternative method of moving it along the rail, and as this is a manual slider you must pay attention to the speed and smoothness of your sliding.
However, overall this is an excellent product, and certainly for the price point, as an amateur film maker this has worked wonders for some of my pieces and allowed me to get some great shots. I would definitely recommend this product.
