I got the camera for Christmas and love it! I especially appreciate the fully manual mode. The ISO sensitivity is fantastic and with its countless possibilities of the picture control it is a handy little camera for beginners and, in my opinion, even for professional photographers.

Cute looking camera

I borrowed the Nikon J1 from my friend and tried it for couple days. First impression, the looking for the camera is so cute. The focusing speed is pretty fast even in low light conditions. The Auto White balance is good. Picture quality is good as most of the M4/3 camera even smaller sensors. ISO 1600 is better than I expected. If you want better handle for the camera, get the nikon grip for the camera. For nikon Dslr user, if u are looking for a small camera for casual use. J1 may be one of the best choice for u becasue it works great on the Af-s nikon lens with an adaptor. Even AF works great so can share the lens with the nikon Dslr.
