Seriously, research youtube and other reviews. This product is not worth the money. Hiss noise all over the place that I thought I was still using the built-in mic in my Canon T3i. The lapel mic worked a bit better than the shotgun however not by much. On the shotgun, there's no manual gain on it.Overall, I just returned it. The sales person said it was a top selling mic kit and no complaints. Maybe the customers just don't know any better or maybe they don't know what to hear for. What you should hear is a nice high pass filter that cuts out any floor noise (hissy sound). You should hear your voice nice and clear, but depending if the room you are in gives off a reverb effect (more or less a hallow sound) then go to a damper room setting. I ended up buying a rode videomic pro for $249.99. Tell Henry's to price match Visteks price. Don't know why Henry's is $20 more. Anyway, search up Rode Videomic Pro for my review and experience.
