Recently purchased the Nikon D7000 with the 18-105 mm lens. Worth every cent! Fantastic sharp images. The quick response from the shutter is outstanding. Image quality is crisp. As a fairly new member to the Nikon digital family (previous owner of D50), I was a little hesitant to purchase such a high performance camera, however, my fears were all for nothing. Camera is very easy to operate and I am quickly exploring the manual settings. The LCD is bright and clear and very easy to navigate. I will not hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone that asks!
The d7000 has never failed to amaze me with its feature packed and outstanding functionality. The 39 point auto focus with 8 cross type points finds focus and tracks moving objects with 3d AF tracking. The exposure compensation feature and matrix metering make taking fully manual photos simple and intuitive. The sub command and main command dial are so well positioned and allow for on the fly changes to aperture and shutter speed making it easy for the novice and the pro photographer alike. I have had this camera for almost a year and a half. And I am still in awe of the crystal clear photos I am taking. Couple this body with the pro grade glass available from henrys as your skill level develops and you will be amazed how his body reacts to the better precision focus motors in the higher end glass. The Eln-15 battery is also very good holding a charge enough to fire over 1000 shots In one charge. I use Two lightening fast memory cards Lexar professional 16gb and the buffer easily handles this cameras six frames per second.... I would recommend this camera to all my friends.
I bought my D7000 w/18-105 vr lens at the Henry's Photo Show. I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in. I have had my eye on this camera since it came out... I have read every review out there, and they are all right this camera is AMAZING !!!! I set up my D3000 and my new D7000 (using the same 18-105 vr lens)to the same settings and took the same photo of my husband.... and the results were that my D/7000 was 1000% better, the D7000 was sharper, better DOF better colour.I honestly reel like this camera is way underpriced... aside from the fact that its not a full frame camera it in my oppinion is just as good if not better than a pro Nikon.
