  • Perfect low-light portrait lens

If you're like me and you're the photographer of the family, you never find yourself in your photos. Unfortunately, this lens won't help change that. The low-light performance of this fast f/1.4 lens, mixed with it's 85mm focal length make it an excellent performer on both full frame FX cameras, as well as on crop sensor DX models (127mm equivalent focal length). It makes you want to shoot. Focusing performance is not as fast as the 50mm f/1.4, but by no means is it slow. This lens works equally well when shooting video. The focus ring is large and rotates smoothly giving you very nice transitions when focusing from one subject to another. It's now my go-to all around lens for everyday shooting.
