  • My first L.

  • February 12, 2012

This is my first L lens. I've had it about a year now. I love the 2.8 aperture throughout the range. Its my favorite lens I own. If your thinking about getting this lens, don't' hesitate. You won't be disappointed. If you have an extra $1000 get the IS version. If your on a budget like myself, don't worry. The lens is fast enough that you don't need the IS unless your shooting in very low light conditions, then just use a tripod, Henry has them also. The only issue is after prolong usage your wrist get tired from having so much glass in your hand, but its something not worth complaining about since the quality is SO GOOD.

  • Sooooooo Good!

This is the perfect sports shooting lens, whether you use cropped, or full frame. Though, on a cropped sensor you do get more reach. The images this lens produces are razor, razor sharp. The only downfall I can think of is its weight, but this is normal within this focal length. Aside from its producing crisp images, it looks and feels awesome, built to the highest quality.

  • Canon 70-200 L f2.8

I bought this lens used about 2 years ago but have since sold it and bought the new Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS II lens to replace this one. Anyway I did enjoy this lens when I had it. Gave excellent quality, sharp pictures especially if used in a well lit situation or on the tripod. Lens is well built.
