  • Sharp and quick!

This lens is super sharp and allows a wide range of apertures. The AF/MF allows for a quick switch over and the design keeps you from cranking the motor if you are in AF mode. The lens comes with a bayonet style hood, which can be placed on backwards for storage or when you dont want to use it, unfortunately this makes it hard to use the MF/AF toggle function. The lens has a nifty switch on the side, which allows you to place a limit on the focusing helical - this allows you to keep your focusing options within a set range and makes focusing much faster and more efficient. The lens feels very well designed and produced. Would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a great macro lens for a reasonable price!

I love my Tamron 90mm lens, in fact, I would say it could possibly be my favorite lens in my kit. Fast, accurate, and sharp as a tack. My only complaint would be the noise from the motor is a bit excessive for my taste, and I don't find the build quality as good as Canon's 100mm macro, though I can say it is still a solid, well built lens. I guess the upside is that it is much lighter then the Canon 100mm. I had both in my kit for a while and I reached for the Tamron every time!!!
